Not a Story..TV Review...CSI New York ...life and art

May not be the place for it, but since it kind of fit with a story I'm working on I thought I'd post a little bit of art imitating gossip.

The season premier of CSI New York incorporated a story about a famous celebutant being discovered dead in her apartment: battered, bruised, bloody and wearing what looked to be small couch cushions on her hands.

Long involved plot condensed to its minimum was that she was killed in a fist fight with another celebutant. The ladies had first paid their body guards to fight in an alley. The lady who lost ten thousand on her man challenged the winner to a double or nothing fight in front of the body guards back in the apartment. They started in bras and panties with cushions on their hands. The bodyguards thought they were playing around, but the fight got serious. The original loser got hit several times, got angry, threw off her cushions and beat the crap out of the other woman with her bare fists. The beaten girl fell and did the classic head on the edge of a table death scene. "Its all fun in games until somebody dies."

Fight scenes were very short and blurry, but it was quite interesting seeing the motivations and the competitiveness of the two rich girls. And there was a nice scene of the survivor dragging the loser around by the hair with one hand while she punched away with the other. Of course I would have at least had the winner have some bruises covered by make-up or something.

What is more interesting is that this fits almost perfectly the rumor that when Paris Hilton showed up a year or two ago with bruises that she and another girl (not named or hinted at in the rumors) had done something similar. That rumor was undoubtably bullshit, but I'll bet it made the rounds in Hollywood and the script writer pulled it into the story.

When rich girls fighting to the death is making the rounds of Hollywood our fetish may becoming too mainstream...LOL...time to look for something a little more exclusive...LOL

well, tastes seem to go to the "right" direction there at hollywood, maybe it's coming the time when we'll have mikejv, mrcage, segano and maybe others as script writers for a popular tv series... *LOL*

I don't usually watch CSI, but I am sorry I missed this one. What a neat little plot. Rich girls who can do anything they want have always been a good device to spur fight ideas for me. The Paris Hilton thing might not have been true at all, but many wish it was and it fits with what we believe the rich girls have the capacity to do.

Now I need to try and see this episode. Like the Tales of the Crypt episode "The Pit" it sounds like the motivations and bits and pieces of the fight make it better than the actually fighting itself. Could be a keeper in that respect.

Maybe it's time to come out of the Nikki Martin - Fighter Girl universe I have been writing in for most of the last year. I doubt however that any Hollywood screenwriters will be contacting us soon. I think our exclusivity is safe. [img]wink.gif[/img]
